Milk the Goat! is a "California Pinup Hippie" fashion and jewelry label that recently caught my eye. I love effortless style that not overdone, unique yet simple elements of style and the brand has it. Adjustable Feather Armband Bracelet is 100% brass.

I love wearing just one piece of jewelry that speaks to my soul and not pouring on tons of cluttered pieces. Jewelry that is artfully crafted and beautiful to look captures the attention and reminds us of something more than jewelry but rather a time, a place or a memory. Jewelry is so important because it often lasts beyond the life of clothing and is literally the voice of your style. After all it is the accessories that make the outfit.

Milk the Goat! has nailed this concept.
How do you like to wear your jewelry?

It's been a long time since I've been able to take a vacation, and by vacation I mean without my children. Now that's not an easy thing to say and I'm sure that there are some moms that are rolling their eyes. But the reality is that being a mom is a full-time job and every great employee deserves a vacation.
So my wife and I planned a trip with a few good friends and headed to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
My vacation was incredible and it felt great to sleep late and not have to get up to make breakfast at 7am! We spent a lovely week sightseeing in old San Juan, hiking at El Yunque National Forest, snapping photos at El Morro, visiting a farm and even ATVing.

Shoe Shopping: Animal Instincts

Betsey Johnson Suede Boots and Nine West Leopard Panto FlatsNine West Panto Flat CAMEL MULTI/BROWN - $69Betsey Johnson Manda Ankle boot in black suede
It's taken me years to embrace animal print, I just didn't love it. Animal print has grown on me over the years and as you can see, I've embraced my animal instincts.

I have a few new fall shoe additions that I wan to share with you. The first is the Manda Ankle Boot by Betsey Johnson. This suede boot caught my eye mostly for it faux zipper with a gold lightening bolt accent but the leopard print interior won me over. I also added a pair of flats, Nine West Panto Smoking Flat in leopard print ponyhair.

What new shoes did you buy this fall?

Casual Friday

Soccer mom outfit

{Blouse: Gibson, Leggings: Aritzia, Shoes: Nine West, Jacket: Love Moschino, Bag: Tylie Malibu}
I love to dress for comfort as well as style and today just happens to be a casual Monday for me. I could barely get out of bed to face the day. But there are bookbags that needed to be packed and kids that needed to be dropped off at school.
Todays outfit of the day calls for simplicity. I’m wearing my black Aritzia jeggings with my Gibson neutral flowy top. To make the outfit less casual, I added my Love Moschino blazer which doubles as a jacket on cooler days like today. Finally, I dump all of my necessities into my black suede, studded Tylie Malibu bag, and I’m out the door.

What’s your favorite casual work outfit?

Hores are NOT my Spirit Animal

Horseback riding at Jamaica Bay Riding Academy in New York
This weekend my wife and I went horseback riding with some friends of ours at Jamaica Bay Riding Academy in Brooklyn, NY.
The only other time that I ever rode a horse was on a ski trip with my sorority sisters over 10 years ago. The one time that I went horseback riding the horse that my sorority sister rode on decided to gallop off the trail and blaze his own path. It was a little scary watching her bouncing around on the horse as he took off.
Fast forward to 2012 and this time I came prepared. Well, I came prepared to look the part. I love the equestrian fashion trend this fall so I whipped out my Sorel riding inspired boots, my green riding pants from laundry by Shelli Segal. I'm not a fan of matching it's a little too Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis for me. So I and added some varying shades of brown to finish the outfit off. Let's ride!

The ride was intense and by intense, I mean terrifying. My horse really didn't seem to be in the mood to ride. He kept stopping, turning around and getting in the faces of the other horses. I think that I can safely say that horses are not my spirit animal.
I did enjoy the ride though, as much as I could, it was beautiful to walk on the beach, to smell the ocean and to be at peace with nature.
